The invention proposes a power-assisted brake system (1) for automatic driving, comprising two piston-cylinder units (2, 5), one of which generates a hydraulic brake pressure electromechanically by means of an electric motor (8) and the other of which communicates with the piston-cylinder unit, a brake pressure is generated in the second brake circuit (II) by applying a pressure to the second brake circuit (II). The second piston-cylinder unit (5) hydraulically separates the two brake circuits (I, II) from each other.
