The present invention improves the precision of stop control of a crawler-type traveling body. The crawler-type traveling body (10) is provided with a crawler belt (11), a hub motor (14) for applying driving force to the crawler belt (11), a driving wheel (13) with the built-in hub motor (14), at least two rotating wheels (15a) and (15b) arranged below the driving wheel (13), and a tensioner (25A) for applying tension to the crawler belt (11) by pressing the driving wheel (13) against the crawler belt (11) wound around the driving wheel (13) and the rotating wheels (15a) and (15b). And a brake unit (30) for limiting the driving force to stop the rotation of the crawler belt (11).
