A rotor position sensor (9) is provided that detects the rotational position of a rotor (6) of an electric motor (4) and the number of revolutions of the rotor. The number of revolutions of the rotor (5) is assigned to each of the two end positions (EL, ER) of the plunger (2) on the end position side from the initial position of the plunger (2). The speed of the push rod (2) is slowed down after the number of revolutions of the rotor associated with the entry of the push rod (2) into the deceleration section (c).
