A method for controlling a vehicle is disclosed, the method comprising at least the steps of: acquiring a road adhesion coefficient during a braking operation before the vehicle is stopped as an initial road adhesion coefficient, the vehicle achieving the stopping at least in part due to the braking operation; and controlling a subsequent launch operation of the vehicle at least with introduction of the initial road adhesion coefficient. The invention further relates to a corresponding vehicle control system, to a corresponding computer program product, in particular a computer-readable program carrier, and to a corresponding vehicle, in particular a new energy vehicle. According to one or more exemplary embodiments of the invention, the vehicle can be smooth and comfortable even if the vehicle is started on a road surface with a low adhesion coefficient, such as an ice surface or a snow surface, and meanwhile, the acceleration performance of the vehicle on an ice separation road or a ramp separation road can be improved.
