The invention provides a safety braking system of a mining monorail crane. The safety braking system comprises an encoder, a handle, an emergency stop button, an electric cabinet, a working braking set and a safety braking set. The encoder, the handle and the scram button are all electrically connected with the electric cabinet, and a first control valve, a second control valve and a third control valve are connected to an oil inlet pipeline of the working brake set in parallel. A fourth control valve is connected to an oil inlet way of the safety brake set. The first control valve, the second control valve, the third control valve and the fourth control valve are all electrically connected with the electric cabinet; braking management of the monorail crane is achieved through the two braking systems of the working braking set and the safety braking set, the safety braking set is newly added braking on the monorail crane, and the safety braking set is secondary braking of the braking systems and serves as supplement of the working braking set.
