The energy management method comprises the following steps: establishing a parameter model of the hybrid power system; establishing a fuel cost objective function according to the parameter model; setting a power source behavior boundary according to the parameter model; acquiring required power of the motor; and performing power distribution according to the fuel cost objective function, the power source behavior boundary and the motor demand power. According to the energy management method and system, the durability of the vehicle can be effectively improved, good adaptability is achieved, and the power and voltage fluctuation of the fuel cell can be reduced under the condition that the SOC of the lithium battery is kept stable.
