The invention provides a dual-redundancy flap automatic control system which comprises a dual-redundancy channel and further comprises a handle control mechanism, a flap control mechanism and a flap control mechanism. The flap control computer is connected with the handle control mechanism; the combination valve is connected with the flap control computer; the flap position output mechanism is connected with the combination valve, and the flap position output mechanism is used for driving a flap transmission line system and a flap to be folded or unfolded; wherein the flap control computer controls the flap position output mechanism based on an instruction position signal generated by the handle control mechanism, meanwhile, the flap control computer collects and processes a real-time flap position signal, and when the real-time flap position signal is consistent with the instruction position signal generated by the handle control mechanism, the flap position output mechanism outputs the flap position signal to the flap control computer. The flap position output mechanism stops working; the invention further provides an automatic control method for the dual-redundancy flap.
