The invention discloses an overhead working truck loading range-extended electric drive control system and method, and relates to the technical field of engineering machine.The overhead working truck loading range-extended electric drive control system comprises a valve element displacement sensor, a loading controller, an independent battery pack and a range-extended generator, and the power supply requirement of a motor is guaranteed through dual power supply of the independent battery pack and the range-extended generator; the displacement amount of the valve element of the hydraulic valve bank can be accurately recognized through a valve element displacement sensor, the load request power is judged, and then load response of the motor is achieved; therefore, the fuel cost is reduced, the carbon deposition problem of a chassis engine is reduced, and the cruising ability of the overhead working truck is improved; and compared with an electric chassis, the dependence on charging infrastructure is reduced, and the cost of a battery is also reduced.
