The invention provides a wheel end braking device, an electronic mechanical braking system, a braking redundancy control method and an electric vehicle. The wheel end braking device comprises a wheel end controller and a braking actuator, and the wheel end controller is used for controlling the braking actuator to output braking force to a brake disc of the electric vehicle. The wheel end controller is used for receiving a first braking control signal from the central controller or a second braking signal from the whole vehicle controller, and the first braking control signal and the second braking control signal are used for controlling the wheel end braking device to output braking force. And under the condition that the central controller fails, the wheel end controller can be controlled by the second brake control signal. According to the wheel end braking device, the electronic mechanical braking system, the braking redundancy control method and the electric vehicle, backup redundancy control of the electronic mechanical braking system is achieved under the condition that the hardware cost is not increased, and the braking safety and reliability of the electric vehicle are improved.
