An autonomous guided vehicle includes a frame, a drive section, a payload carrier, a sensor system, and a supplemental sensor system. The sensor system has electromagnetic sensors, each electromagnetic sensor responsive to an interaction or interface bonding of an electromagnetic beam or field emitted or generated by the sensor with a physical property, the electromagnetic beam or field being interfered by the interaction or interface bonding with the physical property, and the interference is detected by the electromagnetic sensor and the sensing of the physical property is realized by the electromagnetic sensor. The sensor system generates sensor data representing at least one of vehicle navigation gesture or position information and payload gesture or position information. The supplementary sensor system is a supplementary sensor system, and at least in part is a vision system having a camera arranged to capture image data informing the at least one of the vehicle navigation gesture or position and the payload gesture or position, thereby supplementing information of the sensor system.
