The invention discloses a scene complexity evaluation method and device, equipment and a medium, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining a scene element set of an automatic driving scene under a plurality of scene element layers based on the scene data of the automatic driving scene, and the plurality of scene element layers comprise a static element layer, a dynamic element layer, an environment element layer and an information element layer; obtaining a complexity evaluation system associated with each scene element layer; for each scene element layer, obtaining complexity scores of a plurality of scene element parameters corresponding to the scene element layer based on a complexity evaluation system, and determining a first scene complexity score of each scene element layer in combination with the complexity scores of the plurality of scene element parameters and the comprehensive weight value; and multiplying the first scene complexity scores of the plurality of scene element layers to obtain a second scene complexity score of the automatic driving scene. According to the embodiment of the invention, the scene complexity in different automatic driving scenes can be reasonably quantified.
