Provided are a motion prediction device, a motion prediction method, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium that are capable of appropriately predicting the motion of a traffic participant present in the vicinity of a vehicle. The motion prediction device detects a traffic participant present in a predetermined range on the basis of peripheral data indicating the condition of the predetermined range around the vehicle, determines whether a blind area not represented by the peripheral data is present in the predetermined range, and if it is determined that the blind area is present, supposes that a virtual traffic participant is present in the blind area, and determines that the virtual traffic participant is present in the blind area. The motion of the traffic participant caused by the presence of the virtual traffic participant is predicted.

    提供能够适当地对存在于车辆周边的交通参与者的动作进行预测的动作预测装置、动作预测方法以及非瞬时性的计算机可读介质。动作预测装置根据表示车辆周边的预定范围的状况的周边数据,检测存在于预定范围的交通参与者,判定在预定范围中是否存在未被周边数据表示的死角区域,在判定为存在死角区域的情况下,假定为在死角区域中存在假想交通参与者,对因假想交通参与者的存在引起的交通参与者的动作进行预测。
