Provided is a travel control device for a towing vehicle capable of automatically detecting the vehicle width of a towed vehicle connected to the towing vehicle. A travel control device (1) is provided with: obstacle sensors (14, 15) that detect the distance to a traction trolley (3) and the orientation of the traction trolley (3) with respect to a trailer (2); a vehicle width calculation unit (22) that calculates the vehicle width (W) of the traction trolley (3) on the basis of detection data from the obstacle sensors (14, 15); and a travel trajectory setting unit (23), a travel path generation unit (24), and a travel control unit (25) that control the trailer (2) to travel on the basis of the vehicle width (W) of the traction trolley (3) calculated by the vehicle width calculation unit (22).
