The method comprises the steps of obtaining the temperature of a battery in response to a charging instruction for the battery in the automobile; heating the battery under the condition that the temperature of the battery is smaller than a first temperature threshold value; in the process of heating the battery, under the condition that the temperature of the battery is not less than a first temperature threshold but less than a second temperature threshold, keeping heating the battery, and charging the battery; in the process of heating and charging the battery at the same time, under the condition that the temperature of the battery is not smaller than a second temperature threshold value, charging of the battery is kept, and heating of the battery is stopped. According to the scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, when the battery is charged in a low-temperature environment, the charging efficiency of the battery can be improved, so that the charging duration of the battery is shortened, and the stability of quick charging of the battery in the low-temperature environment can also be ensured.
