A wheel assembly for a motor vehicle. A wheel assembly (200) for a motor vehicle (100) is disclosed. The wheel assembly (200) has a rim (220) comprised of a first material and a hub (300) comprised of a second material, the hub (300) being removably attached to the rim (220) and configured to dissipate heat generated when braking is applied to the motor vehicle (100). In an embodiment of the invention, the hub (300) has a disc (310) having an inner surface (310b) facing a backing plate of the drum brake and an outer surface (310a) configured to dissipate heat generated in the hub (300). The hub (300) further has an annular wall (350) extending from the disc (300) and configured to dissipate heat generated in the hub (300).
