The present application discloses a torque control method, in one example, the method may be performed by a motor controller. A motor controller can determine that the requirement for reducing the torque is met, specifically, the motor controller can obtain the rotating speed upper limit of a motor and the actual rotating speed of the motor, and when the actual rotating speed is higher than the rotating speed upper limit, the requirement for reducing the torque is met. Further, after determining that the demand for reducing the torque is met, the motor controller can determine a target torque based on the upper limit of the rotating speed of the motor and the actual rotating speed of the motor, and the target torque is used for reducing the rotating speed of the motor. Further, the motor controller can control the motor to reduce the torque to the target torque. By the adoption of the scheme, the motor controller can automatically control torque reduction, correspondingly, when the vehicle is accelerated to pass through the deceleration strip, large impact abnormal sound caused by the fact that the speed of the front wheels is too high is avoided, and the driving experience of a user is further improved.
