A mobile body control device is provided with: a recognition unit that recognizes the surroundings of a mobile body; and a determination unit that determines, on the basis of the recognition result of the surroundings recognized by the recognition unit, whether or not an object is present in an object region set on the side of the moving body with a direction along the traveling direction of the moving body as the longitudinal direction. When it is determined that the target object is present in the target area, a notification unit is controlled so as to notify a driver of the moving body of the target object. The determination unit causes the width in the short-side direction of the target region to be smaller than the width in the short-side direction before the travel lane change advances to a prescribed stage when the travel lane change in which the moving body changes the travel lane advances to the prescribed stage.
