A pole climbing mechanism relates to the field of climbing equipment and comprises a bearing component, a holding component, a driving component and an adjusting component, and the holding component is arranged on the bearing component and used for holding a pole body; the driving component is arranged on the bearing component and used for driving the bearing component to move in the axial direction of the rod body. The adjusting component is arranged on the bearing component and used for adjusting the holding diameter of the holding component. The pole climbing device is high in stability and wider in application range, and can be randomly stopped and locked to any position of the pole body in the pole climbing process, so that the overall flexibility is greatly improved.
