The invention relates to a method and a system for intelligently selecting a charging station. The selection may be based on a charging recommendation generated in response to a charging request to charge the battery. The charging recommendations may identify one or more target charging stations suitable for battery charging. The charging recommendation may include a state of health (SOH) matrix configured to report a charging capability of the target charging station based on a vehicle charging metric and a charging station charging metric associated with the vehicle charging metric.
