The invention provides a self-braking type walking device which comprises a walking frame, an operation handle and a plurality of trundles, the trundles are all connected with the walking frame, the operation handle is connected with the walking frame, each trundle comprises a trundle carrier, a trundle body, a driving mechanism and a braking mechanism, the trundle body is connected with the trundle carrier, the driving mechanism is connected with the trundle carrier, and the braking mechanism is connected with the driving mechanism. The wheel frame is connected with the walking frame, the driving mechanism and the brake mechanism are both installed on the wheel frame, the driving mechanism is in transmission connection with the brake mechanism, the driving mechanism of each trundle is in transmission connection with the operation handle, and after driving force is applied to the driving mechanism through the operation handle, the trundle is driven by the operation handle to move.
