This hybrid vehicle control method controls a hybrid vehicle provided with an engine, a motor generator for power generation, a motor generator for travel, and a battery, and is characterized in that: a controller sets a section in which an EV mode is executed until the vehicle arrives at a destination; a charging rate reduction control is executed in which the charging rate of the battery at the time when the destination is reached is lower than the upper limit charging rate. Furthermore, when the controller executes the charge rate reduction control, if it is assumed that the EV mode to the destination is continued, the estimated value of the minimum temperature of the engine coolant until the destination is reached is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, and if the EV mode to the destination can be continued, the controller starts the EV mode and executes the EV mode until the destination is reached. If the estimated value of the lowest temperature is lower than the first threshold value, the interval in which the EV mode is executed is made shorter than when the estimated value of the lowest temperature is equal to or greater than the first threshold value.

    本发明的混合动力车辆控制方法是控制具备:发动机、发电用电动发电机、行驶用电动发电机、蓄电池的混合动力车辆的方法,其中,控制器通过设定在直至到达目的地为止的期间执行EV模式的区间,执行使到达目的地的时刻的蓄电池的充电率比上限充电率低的充电率降低控制。另外,控制器在执行充电率降低控制时,如果假设持续EV模式至目的地的情况下,直至到达目的地为止的发动机冷却液的最低温度的推定值为第一阈值以上,当能够持续EV模式至目的地,则开始EV模式并执行直至目的地为止。如果最低温度的推定值比第一阈值低,则使执行EV模式的区间比最低温度的推定值为第一阈值以上的情况短。
