The present disclosure provides a method for deploying a tethered wing traction system, comprising a step of flying a traction wing (5) relative to a loading mast (4), and comprising, prior to the step of flying, a step of folding a wind bag of the traction wing (5) in which an intermediate region (15) of a leading edge (16) is maintained at a first height on the loading mast (4) relative to the loading mast (4); a lateral portion (19) of the leading edge (16) maintains a second height relative to the loading mast (4) at least on the loading mast (4), said second height being lower than said first height, the leading edge (16) forming a wind pocket inlet with a circular opening; and reclosing the trailing edge (17) by bringing the lateral portions (19) of the trailing edge (17) close to each other.
