In a steer-by-wire steering device having a steering operation input member and a steering actuator for applying a steering force to a tire on the basis of a drive signal, when the steering frequency of the tire is a predetermined frequency, the steering force is applied to the tire on the basis of the drive signal, and the steering force is applied to the tire on the basis of the drive signal. By changing the steering angle command value to a smaller angle than before the change, a change in which the yaw rate gain of the vehicle increases with respect to the operation speed of the steering input member is suppressed. As a result, it is possible to suppress the yaw rate gain of the vehicle from becoming too sensitive to the steering operation of the driver.

    本发明所涉及的转向装置以及转向装置的控制方法在具有转向操作输入部件和基于驱动信号向轮胎赋予转舵力的转舵促动器的线控转向式的转向装置中,在轮胎的转舵频率是规定频率时,通过将转舵角指令值变更为比变更前更小的角度,来抑制车辆的横摆率增益相对于转向操作输入部件的操作速度而上升的变化。由此,能够抑制车辆的横摆率增益变得对驾驶员的转向操作过于敏感的情况。
