The invention discloses an electric vehicle AMT upshift and downshift method based on reinforcement learning, and the method comprises the following steps: constructing a gear shifting network model which comprises a strategy network and an evaluation network; the vehicle speed, the vehicle acceleration and the accelerator pedal opening degree serve as input variables of the strategy network, and a gear shifting instruction serves as an output variable of the strategy network; the vehicle speed, the vehicle acceleration, the accelerator pedal opening degree and the gear shifting instruction serve as input variables of an evaluation network, and the evaluation network outputs the value of the current gear shifting instruction; calculating a comprehensive evaluation index of the gear shifting strategy; optimizing the gear shifting network model by taking the minimum difference value between the gear shifting strategy comprehensive evaluation index and the value of the current gear shifting instruction as an optimization target to obtain an optimal gear shifting network model; and in the vehicle driving process, the vehicle speed, the vehicle acceleration and the accelerator pedal opening degree are detected in real time to serve as input variables of the optimal gear shifting network model, and a gear shifting instruction is obtained through the optimal gear shifting network model.
