The invention discloses an urban rail transit platform with a circulating footpath and a passenger transportation method. The platform at least comprises a conventional area and at least one combination area. And at least one circulating footpath is arranged in the adjacent vehicle area on at least one side in the at least one combination area. The circulating footpath can drive passengers to move in the length direction of the circulating footpath, and by means of the circulating footpath, the passengers can reach expected positions more quickly. A plurality of circulating footpaths can be arranged in a transverse arrangement, or a longitudinal arrangement, or a bidirectional arrangement in an area adjacent to a vehicle. In the whole platform range, at least one section of area in at least one adjacent bus area is one of a get-off area, a get-on area, a double-bus area, a non-bus area and a bus-free area. The invention further discloses a boarding and alighting method in the train approaching area of the platform and a method for arriving at and leaving the waiting position.
