The invention relates to an aircraft tractor wheel holding mechanism which is composed of a wheel box inner clamping plate assembly, a wheel box outer clamping plate assembly, a wheel box rack weldment, a cross beam, a tripod, a pull rod, a hydraulic assembly, a tire pressing arm assembly and a hydraulic door lock assembly, the wheel box inner clamping plate assembly is assembled at the front end of a wheel box, and the two ends of the wheel box inner clamping plate assembly are installed on guide rails; the wheel box outer clamping plate assembly is located on the door opening side of the wheel box, one end of the wheel box outer clamping plate assembly is connected with the wheel box rack weldment, and the other end of the wheel box outer clamping plate assembly is matched with a spring bolt of the hydraulic door lock assembly. The two tire pressing arm assemblies are arranged, the tire pressing action points of the tire pressing arm assemblies are located on the upper semicircles of the airplane wheels, downward pressure can be provided for the airplane wheels in the traction process, and the situation that the airplane wheels are separated from the tractor due to factors such as uphill or downhill or uneven ground in the airplane traction process is prevented; and meanwhile, the tire pressing arm assembly has high degree of freedom so as to adapt to different airplane wheels, and a one-to-many traction mode can be completed.
