The invention relates to the technical field of electric power safety equipment, in particular to a tower climbing protection device which comprises a first supporting component, an anti-falling mechanism, a first connecting component, a second connecting component, a mounting mechanism and a dismounting mechanism, and the first connecting component is used for being connected with an unmanned aerial vehicle; a mounting through hole is formed in the second connecting component; the anti-falling mechanism comprises a lifting ring inserted into the mounting through hole; the mounting mechanism comprises a telescopic limiting component which is used for being inserted into limiting holes of the lifting ring and the second connecting component; the anti-falling mechanism further comprises a clamping assembly, and along with downward movement of the unmanned aerial vehicle, the clamping assembly makes contact with the target object and is forced to be opened, and the clamping assembly is closed after the target object completely enters a clamping cavity of the clamping assembly. The dismounting mechanism comprises a telescopic dismounting component, and the telescopic dismounting component is used for stretching into the hanging ring and is lifted up under driving of the unmanned aerial vehicle so that the clamping assembly can be opened and release the target object. The device is simple in structure, convenient to operate, high in efficiency, safe and reliable.
