The invention discloses a disc-shaped permanent magnet eddy current braking device which comprises an axle, a brake disc installed on the axle and a permanent magnet eddy current braking device body located on one side of the brake disc. The permanent magnet eddy current braking device comprises an outer-ring permanent magnet assembly and an inner-ring permanent magnet assembly, the outer-ring permanent magnet assembly comprises a plurality of outer-ring permanent magnets which are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction, S poles and N poles of the outer-ring permanent magnets are sequentially and alternately arranged, and the inner-ring permanent magnet assembly comprises a plurality of inner-ring permanent magnets which are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The S poles and the N poles of the inner ring permanent magnets are alternately arranged in sequence; the inner ring permanent magnet assembly can rotate relative to the outer ring permanent magnet assembly so as to control braking force by changing the phase of the inner ring permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is used for generating a magnetic field to stop rotation of the brake disc, the driving motor controls the stator to rotate to start and stop eddy current and braking force, friction braking can be replaced, and abrasion of a friction pair is reduced.
