The invention relates to a weft-knitted fabric (T) for a tyre (10), said weft-knitted fabric (T) comprising a plurality of fabric warp reinforcing elements (44) and a plurality of weft reinforcing elements (50), in which:-the weft reinforcing elements (50) have a moisture absorption content TxH of less than or equal to 2.0%; the moisture absorption content is measured according to the standard ASTM D 885/D 885MA in January 2010; the weft reinforcing elements (50) are interwoven with the warp reinforcing elements (44), and; -the weft reinforcing elements (50) are disruptive.
