A wheel assembly including a wheel and a motor positioned within the wheel; the battery assembly is used for supplying energy to the balance scooter; wherein the balance scooter is configured to be transitionable between an unfolded state in which the wheel assembly is positioned between the first foot platform and the second foot platform, and a folded state in which the first foot platform and the second foot platform are closer to each other than when they are in the unfolded state; wherein when the balance scooter in the unfolded state is obliquely placed on the horizontal ground so that one of the first foot platform and the second foot platform is obliquely oriented to be suitable for the user to execute the getting-on action, the inclination angle of the longitudinal axis of the balance scooter relative to the horizontal ground ranges from 5 degrees to 45 degrees.
