The embodiment of the invention provides an elevator floor recognition method and device.The method comprises the steps that acceleration data, air pressure data and state variables of an elevator at multiple moments are obtained, and the state variables comprise the height variable and the speed variable; the running state of the elevator is determined according to the acceleration data, the air pressure data and a preset data threshold value; estimating height information of the elevator according to the running state, the acceleration data, the air pressure data and the state variable; and a floor corresponding to the elevator is matched according to the running state and the height information. According to the embodiment of the invention, not only is the arrangement of UWB or laser radar and other inductors avoided, but also the arrangement of induction labels on each floor is avoided, the floors corresponding to the elevator can be matched according to the acceleration data, the air pressure data, the state variables and the like, and the hardware cost and the labor cost are reduced.
