The invention provides a space floating image device which can obtain space floating images with little influence of external light and ghosting, and is high in visibility and compact. The spatial floating image display device includes: an opening portion in which a transparent member through which image light of a specific polarized wave passes is disposed; a display panel as an image source; a light source device for supplying light in a specific polarization direction to the image source; a retro-reflection optical member in which a phase difference plate is provided on a retro-reflection surface; one or more mirrors; and a polarization separation member provided in a space connecting the image source and the retro-reflection optical member. According to the spatial suspension image display device, image light of a specific polarized wave from an image source is temporarily transmitted through a polarization separation component and is reflected by a first reflecting mirror, polarization conversion is performed by a retro-reflection optical component, the converted image light is reflected again by the first reflecting mirror, and the image light is reflected by the polarization separation component. A spatial floating image is displayed on the outside of the opening. The spatial floating image display device changes the position at which the spatial floating image is formed by changing the distance from the image source to the retro-reflective optical member.

    本发明提供一种能够得到外部光的影响和重影少的空间悬浮影像、可视性高且紧凑的空间悬浮影像装置。空间悬浮影像显示装置具备:配置有使特定偏振波的影像光穿过的透明部件的开口部;作为影像源的显示面板;向影像源供给特定的偏光方向的光的光源装置;在回归反射面设置有相位差板的回归反射光学部件;1个以上的反射镜;以及设置在连接影像源与回归反射光学部件的空间内的偏光分离部件。空间悬浮影像显示装置利用偏光分离部件使来自影像源的特定偏振波的影像光暂时透过,通过第一反射镜进行反射,利用回归反射光学部件进行偏光转换,利用第一反射镜使转换后的影像光再次反射,利用偏光分离部件进行反射,在开口部的外侧显示空间悬浮影像。空间悬浮影像显示装置通过变更从影像源到回归反射光学部件的距离的构造,变更形成空间悬浮影像的位置。
