The method comprises the following steps: acquiring radio frequency identification card reading data and ultra wide band position data; determining information of a track where the electric locomotive is located based on the radio frequency identification card reading data; determining roadway position information of the electric locomotive based on the ultra wide band position data; and under the condition that the ultra-wideband positioning base station and the virtual base station corresponding to the ultra-wideband positioning base station are bound with the radio frequency identification card, fusing the information of the track where the electric locomotive is located with the position information of the roadway of the electric locomotive to obtain the position of the electric locomotive. According to the technical scheme, the positioning accuracy of the electric locomotive is improved by fusing the information of the rail where the electric locomotive is located and the position information of the rail of the electric locomotive.
