The multi-mode hydraulic steering system comprises a steering main pump, the steering main pump is connected with a steering gear and an electric control steering valve which are arranged in parallel, the steering main pump communicates with the oil inlet ends of the steering gear and the electric control steering valve, and the oil outlet ends of the steering gear and the electric control steering valve are connected with a steering execution part after being connected in parallel. The steering execution part comprises a front axle steering oil cylinder set and a rear axle steering oil cylinder set, a steering mode switching valve is connected between the front axle steering oil cylinder set and the rear axle steering oil cylinder set, and the oil inlet end of the steering gear and the oil inlet end of the electric control steering valve are communicated with an emergency oil supply part. By arranging the steering priority valve, the steering gear, the electric control steering valve and the steering mode switching valve, diversification of steering control modes is achieved, steering can be conducted by rotating the steering gear, and steering can also be controlled through the electric control steering valve.
