The VTOL manipulator arrangement is operated by a single pilot and consists of or includes a first manipulator and a second manipulator. The first manipulator can control at least one movement axis, and the second manipulator can control at least three movement axes. The first manipulator is configured to be operated by a first hand of a pilot and the second manipulator is configured to be operated by a second hand of the pilot different from the first hand. The two manually operated manipulators enable reliable operation based on the motion of the steering column (i.e., the respective hands of the pilot respectively grip the respective manipulator), rather than relying on the motion of switches, knobs and the like which may not allow precise control in vibrating or turbulent environments or conditions.
