Provided are: a lightweight bumper reinforcement which exhibits high rigidity to a light load with respect to a load during a collision, absorbs collision energy by plastically deforming a heavy load, and is capable of effectively propagating incompletely absorbed energy to a crash box; a method for manufacturing the bumper reinforcement; and a resin reinforcement member for a bumper reinforcement. A bumper reinforcement according to the present disclosure is provided with: a main body portion extending in a vehicle width direction; and a resin reinforcement portion extending in the vehicle width direction and disposed further toward the vehicle body than the main body portion, the main body portion having at least one first joining portion on the vehicle body side, the resin reinforcement portion having: at least one second joining portion joined to the first joining portion; and one or more reinforcing ribs protruding toward the vehicle body side and extending in the vehicle width direction.
