The invention provides a brake lamp self-checking control method, device, equipment and system. The method comprises the steps that when a target vehicle is started and is in a non-driving state, the driving gear of the target vehicle and the state of a brake pedal are detected, if the driving gear of the target vehicle is in a parking gear and the brake pedal is not in a stepping state, a lamplight control module is triggered to enter a brake lamp self-checking function mode, and the brake lamp self-checking function mode is started; and in the brake lamp self-checking function mode, a brake lamp self-checking signal sent by a user is received, and whether the brake lamp breaks down or not is determined according to the lightening state of the brake lamp. According to the method, the operation complexity of brake lamp self-inspection is simplified, and the self-inspection cost is reduced.
