The invention provides a battery temperature adjusting system capable of appropriately suppressing battery deterioration. A battery temperature control system (1) is provided with: a battery (2) capable of storing power from an external power source (10) and supplying power to a motor (7); a cooling device (3) to which power from an external power source (10) and power from the battery (2) are selectively supplied and which cools the battery (2); and a control device (5) that controls the cooling device (3) to adjust the state of charge of the battery (2) and the battery temperature. The control device (5) stores a deterioration sensitivity map in which the deterioration sensitivity is preset on the basis of the state of charge and the battery temperature, or can calculate the deterioration sensitivity on the basis of the state of charge and the battery temperature. When the vehicle (V) is connected to the external power source, the control device (5) selects either the power from the battery (2) or the power from the external power source (10) in accordance with the deterioration sensitivity to operate the cooling device (3).
