The method comprises the steps that motion information of a target pedestrian and the speed of a vehicle are acquired, wherein the motion information of the target pedestrian comprises the longitudinal position of the target pedestrian; predicting collision time according to the motion information of the target pedestrian and the speed of the vehicle; based on the collision time, determining a transverse position of the target pedestrian after the collision time and position information of the vehicle after the collision time; determining a dangerous area according to the longitudinal position of the target pedestrian and the position information of the vehicle after the collision time; judging whether the transverse position of the target pedestrian after the collision time is in the dangerous area or not; and under the condition that the transverse position of the target pedestrian is located in the dangerous area after the collision time, an alarm signal is sent, and the vehicle is controlled to be braked. The dangerous area is determined according to the longitudinal position of the target pedestrian and the position information of the vehicle after the collision time, the range of the dangerous area can be adjusted in real time, and the method adapts to complex and changeable vehicle driving scenes.
