The invention discloses a target vehicle determination method and device, electronic equipment and a computer readable storage medium, and is applied to a first vehicle, and the method comprises the steps: determining a second vehicle located in front of the first vehicle; calculating a first included angle between a first connecting line between a first tail lamp of the second vehicle and the preset position of the head of the first vehicle and the longitudinal direction of the first vehicle, and a second included angle between a second connecting line between a second tail lamp of the second vehicle and the preset position of the head of the first vehicle and the longitudinal direction of the first vehicle; calculating a third included angle between a third connecting line between the target lane point and the preset head position of the first vehicle and the longitudinal direction of the first vehicle; calculating the overlapping ratio of the second vehicle and the driving lane according to the first included angle, the second included angle and the third included angle; and selecting a target vehicle of the first vehicle in the adaptive cruise control process based on the overlapping ratio. The target vehicle can be selected timely and accurately in the self-adaptive cruise control process.
