The invention discloses a polylactic acid composite board and a preparation method thereof, relates to the technical field of automobile materials, and solves the problems of poor heat resistance and strength of polylactic acid products. The composite board is of a double-layer composite structure composed of a polylactic acid substrate and a basalt fiber/polylactic acid fiber mixed felt board. The molecular weight of the polylactic acid substrate is 100,000-200,000, and the polylactic acid substrate is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 70%-85% of polylactic acid, 10%-15% of a flexibilizer POE-g-MAH and 2.5%-5% of an antioxidant; the molecular weight of polylactic acid in the basalt fiber/polylactic acid fiber mixed felt board is 100,000-200,000, and the basalt fiber/polylactic acid fiber mixed felt board is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 38%-57% of polylactic acid fiber, 38%-57% of basalt fiber and 5%-8% of an interface compatilizer; the fiber fineness of the polylactic acid fiber monofilament is 8 dtex to 28 dtex; and the fineness of the basalt monofilament fiber is less than or equal to 100 dtex.
