The invention discloses a traffic target sensing test method of a road side sensing system based on V2I, and belongs to the field of Internet of Vehicles. The perceptual test method comprises the following steps: S1, designing and selecting a test area; S2, starting a test process and collecting data; and S3, analyzing and evaluating test data. Compared with the prior art, the method has the beneficial effects that traffic targets (such as motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians) in a road are sensed by designing different intersection types and test areas and taking data of a vehicle-mounted true value system as a reference; the kinematics perception performance of the to-be-tested system can be evaluated from four aspects of positioning, speed, course angle and size detection, and the method is more comprehensive and accurate.
