This other vehicle behavior prediction and diagnosis device is configured to comprise: an other vehicle condition determination unit (3) that estimates a travel condition for each of other vehicles (50) traveling ahead of a host vehicle (10); when any one of the other vehicles (50) is estimated to be in a state of deceleration or lane change to a lane (41) on which the host vehicle (10) travels in order to avoid collision with an object on the road (4) or the other vehicle, it is determined that the host vehicle (10) is in an alert state; and a prediction function diagnosis unit (2) that, when the determination result of the alert state is received, diagnoses whether or not the other vehicle behavior prediction function is sound on the basis of whether or not the other vehicle behavior prediction function corresponding to the alert state can be received from the other vehicle behavior prediction function.

    本发明的其它车辆行为预测诊断装置构成为包括:其它车辆状况判定部(3),其对行驶在本车辆(10)前方的其它车辆(50)的每一个推定行驶状况,在其它车辆(50)中的任一个中推定为处于为了避免与道路(4)上的物体或其它车辆发生碰撞而要进行减速、或向本车辆(10)行驶的车道(41)进行车道变更的状况时,判定为处于警戒状态;以及预测功能诊断部(2),其在接受到处于警戒状态的判定结果时,根据是否能从其它车辆行为预测功能接收到与警戒状态对应的其它车辆行为预测,来诊断其它车辆行为预测功能是否健全。
