The invention provides a clamping mechanism for hoisting a steel beam. The clamping mechanism comprises two sets of positioning assemblies. The two positioning assemblies are clamped to the two ends of the steel beam correspondingly, a shackle is installed on the top of each positioning assembly, and a steel wire rope is connected to the shackles. Fixing seats are welded to the two opposite outer side walls of each positioning assembly, each fixing seat is connected with a first adjusting bolt penetrating through the top and the bottom in a lifting mode, the bottom end of each first adjusting bolt is rotationally connected with a base plate, and the bottom of each base plate is in angular transmission connection with a guide plate.
