The invention relates to transition to an unsupervised autonomous driving mode for ADS. The driving mode transition system obtains vehicle condition data; determining, based on the obtained vehicle condition data, that an unsupervised driving condition of an unsupervised driving mode related driving strategy related to an unsupervised autonomous driving mode of the ADS is complied; determining that the ADS activates a supervised driving mode; implementing an unsupervised driving mode related driving strategy to manage a supervised driving mode; and enabling an unsupervised autonomous driving mode for ADS to be activated when the location and/or speed of the vehicle has reached an unsupervised dynamic driving condition that complies with an unsupervised driving mode-related driving strategy. The present disclosure also relates to a driving mode transition system according to the foregoing, a vehicle comprising such a driving mode transition system, and a corresponding computer program product and a non-volatile computer readable storage medium.
