The present disclosure relates to an eco-friendly vehicle in which a valet mode can be controlled by a detailed control level, and a method for controlling the valet mode thereof. The control method for the valet mode of the vehicle comprises the steps that whether the entering condition of the valet mode is met or not is judged; when the entry condition is satisfied, determining one level among a plurality of levels of the valet mode based on at least one of the vehicle state and the driving environment; and performing vehicle control according to the determined levels, in which the plurality of levels differ from each other in terms of whether or degree of limitation to at least a portion of the powertrain and the function is performed.
