The invention provides a cell equalization system capable of calculating residual capacity deviation with high precision and performing equalization with high precision. A cell equalization system (1) is provided with: a storage battery (2) mounted in a vehicle and provided with a plurality of rechargeable cells (21) connected in series; a battery ECU (3) that controls the battery (2); an equalization circuit (4) that equalizes the residual capacity deviation of the plurality of unit cells (21); and an equalization control unit (5) that controls the equalization circuit (4). The battery ECU (3) calculates a residual capacity deviation when the ECU is started from a dormant state to a started state, and the cell equalization system (1) is configured so as to be able to execute an in-start equalization process for performing equalization when the battery ECU (3) is in the started state, and an in-dormant equalization process for performing equalization when the battery ECU (3) is in the dormant state.
