To provide a cell equalization system which calculates variations in residual capacity with high accuracy and can execute equalization with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A cell equalization system 1 comprises: a battery 2 which includes a plurality of chargeable cells 21 connected in series, and is mounted on a vehicle; a battery ECU 3 which controls the battery 2; an equalization circuit 4 which equalizes variations in residual capacity of the plurality of cells 21; and an equalization control unit 5 which controls the equalization circuit 4. The battery ECU calculates variations in residual capacity at the time of activation of the ECU, in which the battery ECU transitions from a sleep state to an activation state. The cell equalization system 1 is configured to be able to execute in-activation equalization processing for performing equalization when the battery ECU 3 is in the activation state, and in-sleep equalization processing for performing equalization when the battery ECU 3 is in the sleep state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
