The invention provides a container handling device comprising:-a frame (4) configured to be arranged on a lifting device,-two container engaging members (8; 9) disposed on the frame spaced apart from each other, each about a respective transverse engagement member pivot axis (10; 11) pivotally connected to the frame, the pivot axes of the two engagement members being coaxial wherein the engagement members are arranged for engaging the container therebetween,-two pivoting mechanisms (12; a pivot mechanism (13) configured for pivoting the engagement member relative to the frame between a first orientation of the engagement member, in which the pivot mechanism in use orients the container in an upright orientation in which the upper side of the container faces upward, and a second orientation of the engagement member, in which the pivot mechanism in use extends in the upright orientation in which the upper side of the container faces upward. The invention relates to a container (10) comprising pivoting mechanisms (14) which orient, in use, the container in an inverted orientation in which the bottom of the container faces upwards so that the container can be emptied, the pivoting mechanisms each comprising:-an elongate coupling (14), the invention relates to a coupling device (10) for a motor vehicle, comprising:-a frame (12) pivotally connected to an engagement member (8) by a first end about a coupler pivot axis (16) located at a first distance (D1) from the engagement member pivot axis (10) and having an opposite second end,-an elongate rocker arm (26) pivotally connected to the frame by a first end about a rocker arm pivot axis (28), the invention relates to a rocker arm assembly comprising:-an engagement member (32) for pivoting a rocker arm about a first end of the coupling and pivotally connected to a second end of the coupling by an opposite second end about a rocker arm-coupling pivot axis (30), and-an actuator (32) for pivoting the rocker arm about the rocker arm pivot axis, thereby causing the engagement member to pivot between the first orientation and the second orientation.
