The invention provides a lifting device for a container and belongs to the technical field of lifting equipment. The lifting device comprises a lifting mechanism and a locking mechanism. An inclined platform is arranged on one side of a base. A bearing chain wheel of the lifting mechanism is rotationally arranged on a chain wheel support. The upper end of a lifting air cylinder is connected with the chain wheel support. A lifting chain winds around the bearing chain wheel, wherein one end of the lifting chain is connected to the base, and the other end of the lifting chain is connected to the upper end of a lifting cage. The lifting cage can be arranged on one side of a rack in a vertical sliding manner. One end of a connecting rod of the locking mechanism is hinged to the bearing support. A supporting pillar is installed on the connecting rod through an adjusting nut and a locking nut. The front section of the supporting pillar is provided with a rubber cushion block. A handle is perpendicularly arranged on the connecting rod. An upper clamping groove support is arranged at the upper end of the bearing support. A lower clamping groove support is arranged at the lower end of the bearing support. Elastic clamping groove pieces are arranged on the upper clamping groove support and the lower clamping groove support. The lifting device prevents the container from falling from the lifting cage in the lifting process, and in addition, the container can conveniently enter and leave the lifting cage.
